Keep in mind that other subject matter on the table (specifically from the city,) will result in a series of Counter-proposals from the Union's team during the course of the next sessions. The following, is the Union's initial submission requesting information from each Department that it reasonably believes will assist the bargaining team at preparing contract proposals to present to the City by the agreed upon proposal cutoff date of March, 9 2012.
SFIA: For purposes of insuring continued, productive, and good faith bargaining, as well as the free exchange of relevant information, the Union hereby submits this first request for documents, information, and things:
-A Complete Organizational Chart which includes all employees in represented classes;
-The number of positions of employees (in the maintenance division, or any other division or bureau which employs bargaining unit members,) one level above that of the 7215, and the job description with compensation package;
-Any written Department policy, practice, or procedure related to the administration/application of any provision of the current agreement with respect to bargaining unit members;
-A complete record of overtime distribution for 2011 for a bargaining unit members.
SFMTA: For purposes of insuring continued, productive, and good faith bargaining, as well as the free exchange of relevant information, the Union hereby submits this first request for documents, information, and things:
-A Complete Organizational Chart which includes all employees in represented classes;
-The number of positions of employees (in the maintenance division, or any other division or bureau which employs bargaining unit members,) one level above that of the 7215, and the job description with compensation package;
-A complete record of overtime distribution for 2011 for all bargaining unit members.

-A Complete Organizational Chart by area (CDD, Sunol, Hetch-Hetchy, Milbrae, etc.,) which includes all employees in represented classes;
-The number of positions of employees (in the maintenance division, or any other division or bureau which employs bargaining unit members,) one level above that of the 7215, and the job description with compensation package;
-The total number and a complete description of mid-level management positions with any responsibilities in the maintenance division;
-The name, title, classification number, and compensation package of all new positions (any unit) created or enhanced since 2006.
-The total number of 9916/"alternate workers" positions filled since execution of current agreement;
-The total number of 3417 positions budgeted/filled at the execution of this agreement, and for the last 6 budget cycles;
-The total number of 3422 positions budgeted/filled at the execution of this agreement, and for the last 6 budget cycles;

-A current listing of any and all "lead" workers, by name, location, and supervisor;
-All subsequent agreements, bid sheets, Board Meeting minutes, etc.
SFDPW: For purposes of insuring continued, productive, and good faith bargaining, as well as the free exchange of relevant information, the Union hereby submits this first request for documents, information, and things:
-A Complete Organizational Chart which includes all employees in represented classes;
-The number of positions of employees one level above that of the 7281 & 7282, and the job description with compensation package;
-The total number of mid-level management positions with any responsibilities in the maintenance division;
-The total number of 9916 positions filled since execution of current agreement;
-The total number of 7501 positions filled since execution of current agreement;
-The total number of 3422 positions budgeted for prior to execution of the current agreement, and current;
-The total number of 7514 positions budgeted/filled at the execution of this agreement, and for the last 6 budget cycles;
-The total number of 7215 positions budgeted/filled at the execution of this agreement, and for the last 6 budget cycles;
-The total number of 3417 positions budgeted/filled at the execution of this agreement, and for the last 6 budget cycles;
-All subsequent agreements, bid sheets, Board Meeting minutes, etc.
The Parties agreed conceptually on groundrules for bargaining sessions, as well as a proposal cutoff date of March 9, 2012. The entire bargaining team will be invited to a budget proposal discussion in the near future. The Union objected to the May 7th arbitration date. The City distributed an informational piece related to matters outside of the scope of bargaining (Civil Service carve-outs.)
For the next session (12pm, February 22, 2012,) with the City, the Union will have released the following team members:
